Buckmaster Network to Become SOE

Daughter of Mr. Guillaume Evangelista, political deportee and resistance fighter, from Cannes, employee of major exhibitions, like all deportees, my father told me few or no details about her.

Later, I discovered documents that allowed me to investigate in Cannes, in Germany in the Gestapo archives, or in France.

I received, posthumously, at Mont-Valérien on October 18, 2024, the Gold Cross of Merit for the valiant resistance fighter that my father was. Thanks to the various information, I was able to reveal the facts of his deportation, the conditions, as well as documents from the authorities on this site.

The Buckmaster networks made it possible to have agents on our English and French territory working for England, with Sir Winston Churchill as their sole leader, alone in directing this secret movement from Baker Street in London.

The SOE, or Service-Organisation Executive, was a very secret network even after the war.
